âMâ Is for Meditating: The last two components in this mental-strengthening exercise are the most challenging to do and also take the most dedicated time to perfect, but I will tell you from personal experience, they are extremely important. When I was a younger entrepreneur, I was not humble enough to have a Rugged Intellect nor did I understand how to get to the state where I could tap into the universal wisdom around me. In fact, meditating was not something I felt a need for, nor was it something I wanted to learn to do. I am not a meditation expert now, either, so this will be something you will have to work on and figure out for yourself. For me, it is not a yoga thing or a sit in some odd position burning incense while you hum or repeat some silent mantra kind of thing. Rather, it is about slowing things down and getting in a mindset where I see how small I am in this great world and at the same time feel empowered in a way that makes me thankful for all the opportunities I have to do something in this life. That is how I create the path that opens the doorway to universal wisdom, which I can then tap into. Itâs up to you to discover ways to get yourself in that same awesome place.
I have now learned through practice that at least two things can get me there. One is spent during the early morning in a place where I can see Godâs incredible sunrise. Its power and aweâespecially when viewed over an ocean, a lake, or in the mountainsâare humbling. As I have explained, the early morning is also when your mind is the clearest because itâs rested. There are no distractions before everyone else wakes up. When I see that sunrise, my mind just slows down in thanks and wonder at the worldâs power and beauty. Everything I am working on mentally just seems to fold into an order and an intentional design. I can see how things and people work and fit together as if they are puzzle pieces falling into place. I can think through my actions as if they are advanced moves in a multi-dimensional chess game. It is a mental state where I am able to tap into universal wisdom and let it help me creatively see how things might play out in different scenarios. I can imagine potential outcomes down the road and better assess the risks associated with those results. There is a mathematical quality about the âif this, then thatâ nature of the process.
The second thing for me is taking a long walk with my wife, either in the mountains, around a lake with a rugged and beautiful view, or on a beach with the sound of breaking waves. Something about water has always helped me get into deep thought. Iâm not sure if it is the fact that there is
